NCAA Women’s Basketball Semi-finals to be held on March 30, 2018

Columbus, OH:  150 members of Harmony Project’s Spirit of Columbus choir will take the floor at the Women’s Basketball Semi-Final competition on March 30, 2018, to sing the National Anthem. The choir will be performing an arrangement written by Harmony Project Founder and Creative Director David Brown and Harmony Project Musical Director Vernon Hairston.

“Harmony Project is the perfect fit to sing the National Anthem during the NCAA Women’s Final Four,” said Linda Shetina Logan, executive director of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission. “The collaboration and connection among people of all different walks of life makes them a great representation of our Columbus community. A true snapshot of Columbus, Harmony Project has invited thousands of people to participate in Harmony Project programming and service projects since its inception in 2009.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for the message of Harmony Project to be shared with a national audience,” said David Brown, founder and creative director of Harmony Project. “We are honored to be a part of it.”

The games will be broadcast live on ESPN2 from Nationwide Arena on March 30, with game one beginning at 7 p.m., and game two beginning at 9:30 p.m. The Championship Final will take place on Sunday, April 1.
