By April 4, 2018 April 16th, 2018 Multimedia

We are his dream. We are living his legacy.

Today, South High Harmony commemorated the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s assassination by learning more about the Civil Rights movement and by giving back to the Atlanta community. Students explored theĀ Civil and Human Rights Museum, learning more about the work, the passion, and the faces behind the Civil Rights Movement.

They also served at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, packing nearly 40,000 pounds of food (over 1,200 boxes) for senior citizens, and sorting nearly 7,000 pounds of food donations that will later be distributed to food pantries all over the Atlanta Metro Area.
