From April 22-25, 2019, the National Treasure Tour took our South High School students to Philadelphia and New York City to:

WHAT IS SOUTH HIGH HARMONY?

A collaboration with City Year Columbus and South High School, this weekly, after-school arts, education, and service learning program fosters creativity, responsibility, self-confidence, and community engagement among 7-12 grade students—90% of whom qualify for free lunches and live in underserved communities. Students learn invaluable life skills that serve them as they embark on new journeys in higher education, careers, and service trips facilitated by Harmony Project each year. To date, 100% of participating seniors have successfully graduated.

THANK YOU TO OUR NATIONAL TREASURE TOUR
CORPORATE SPONSOR, THE UNION BANK COMPANY, AND
COMMUNITY SPONSOR, MIESSE FEST!

The National Treasure Tour was made possible by the generous support of Lead Community Sponsor, Miesse Fest, and the DLMIII Foundation. An annual celebration of Harmony Project member David Miesse, Miesse Fest features an exceptional lineup of live music. 100% of the proceeds benefit Harmony Project and the South High Harmony program. This effort fulfills David’s dream to amplify and inspire young voices and lives. Miesse Fest 2019 will be held on Saturday, August 10.
As lead Corporate Partner, The Union Bank Company not only provided generous financial support–they facilitated a financial literacy workshop with the students. Specifically, Union Bank employees visited South High School in April to help students learn how to manage their $100 gift card designated to cover the cost of several meals while in Philadelphia and New York City.
In addition to contributions from individuals who support Harmony’s weekly student programs and this annual service learning trip, Harmony Project would like to thank the New Albany Kroger store for donating snacks and drinks, the Tremont Goodie Shop who supplied delicious pastries for the trip, and AAA Ohio, who donated luggage tags for the students.
