Media Release: Harmony Project Announces New Chief Operations Officer and Staff Updates

Columbus, OH: With support from a grant awarded by The Columbus Foundation, Harmony Project celebrates the completion of its tenth year of service to the greater Columbus community by preparing for the next ten years and beyond.

Shelly Lewis joins Harmony as Chief Operating Officer, bringing years of experience in the nonprofit and corporate worlds, having served as a manager within community relations for LBrands, Manager of Corporate Volunteer Programs at The Columbus Foundation, Senior Director of Volunteer and Resource Development at HandsOn Central Ohio, and Director of Corporate Relations at Susan G. Komen Columbus. She is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Columbus.

“Harmony Project has an exceptional reputation in this community,” said Shelly Lewis, Chief Operating Officer of Harmony Project. “I am looking forward to being a part of the unprecedented work of this organization.”

Harmony also welcomes recent University of Notre Dame graduate Kit Jones, who served as an intern during the summer months for the past two years. Kit’s role is in production and office support.

Additionally, a realignment of the four existing staff members and the new staff members helps to create new efficiencies for the organization. The roles are as follows:

Kadi McDonald, Director of Marketing, Communications, & Project Management

Shelbi Franklin-Peeno, Company Manager

As Harmony enters its tenth year of operation, the team will work together to find new ways to expand and grow the mission.

“We have experienced astonishing growth over the past ten years, and with the support of our donors, volunteers, and the incredible investment by The Columbus Foundation and the amazing people of this city, we are ready for the next ten and more,” said David Brown, Founder and Creative Director of Harmony Project.
