MAY 24-30, 2020
Harmony is supporting our community partner and neighbor, Equitas, and the City of Columbus #MaskUpCbus initiative, by sewing face masks. The masks will be donated to the Equitas HIV prevention and case management departments, and provided to individuals living with HIV and to the clients served by Equitas who need HIV testing and HIV-prevention services. Your mask donation will make a huge impact by keeping people protected, healthy and safe.
There are many ways to make masks with a sewing machine or by hand, and a wide variety of suitable patterns available online. We encourage you to use the methods and materials that work best for you! If you have a sewing machine and need help getting started, see below for a step-by-step video tutorial by Harmony Project’s Peggy Meckling-Baker and Jen Robinson.
Face mask donations may be dropped off or mailed. Drop off finished masks at the Harmony Project office on Wednesday, June 3rd and Thursday, June 4th from 11am – 1pm.
